Allocations
This page explains how to apply for an allocation of time and/or effort at the Cornell
University Center for Advanced Computing (CAC).
Allocations for research projects are reviewed for scientific merit and computational
need. Any Cornell researcher is eligible to apply, but applicants who are undergraduate
or graduate students must have their requests submitted by a faculty advisor.
Researchers at Cornell who have never used our resources except for education or workshop accounts
are eligible for a non-renewable one-year Exploratory allocation of 100 hours. The
Exploratory allocation allows researchers to investigate the feasibility of using
our resources for their project's computing needs.
