October information sessions on NSF-required data management plans

ITHACA, N.Y. Cornell University faculty and staff are invited to attend information sessions on the new National Science Foundation policy requiring that all NSF proposals include a data management plan. This policy went into effect January 18, 2011. Staff from the Research Data Management Service Group (RDMSG) will explain the new requirement and describe how researchers can obtain assistance from the RDMSG in order to create effective data management plans.
The information sessions will be held:
- Monday, October 10, 1:00-2:00 pm - 102 Mann Library
- Tuesday, October 11, 12:30-1:30 pm - 110 Phillips
Advanced registration is not required.
Sponsored by Senior Vice Provost for Research Robert Buhrman and University Librarian Anne R. Kenney, the RDMSG is a virtual organization that provides a coordinated, single point of access for information for Cornell researchers on services related to data management. It is supported by the Cornell Center for Advanced Computing (CAC), the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER), the Cornell University Library (CUL), and the DISCOVER Research Group (DRSG).
