Senior Research Associate

Steve Lantz

Steve has been with CAC (previously the Cornell Theory Center) since 1991, initially as a postdoctoral associate, then as a member of Cornell’s research faculty. His work involves advising and training users of Cornell’s high-performance computing facilities while engaging in computational research in such diverse areas as turbulence, combustion, plasma physics, and optics. He serves as instructor for CIS 4205, Effective Use of High Performance Computing (Spring ’09) and has also taught ECE 586, Upper Atmospheric Physics II (Spring ’07). A record of his undergraduate researchers’ accomplishments can be viewed at his home page, which contains links to a number of training materials authored by Dr. Lantz. He has done occasional consulting work for Corning Incorporated.
