Engaging Students in Emerging Technologies
Undergraduate and graduate students employed by the Cornell Center for Advanced Computing learn about emerging technologies and apply them in challenging research projects.

CAC collaborates with the Faculty of Computing and Information Science (CIS) and other departments in course development and research.

CAC staff present papers at conferences sponsored by leading associations such as the American Physical Society, the Association for Computing Machinery, and IEEE. CAC also participates in events such as the SC Conference, TeraGrid Conference, and NSF-sponsored workshops such as “Cyberinfrastructure Software Sustainability.”
The Center also hosts high-performance computing and data analysis workshops that feature technology leaders from academe and industry. Recent speakers include Cluster Resources, Cisco, Dell, DataDirect Networks, Intel, Microsoft, and Red Hat.
