Outreach

MATLAB on the TeraGrid Outreach

CAC is funded by the National Science Foundation to deploy and operate MATLAB on the TeraGrid, an experimental computing resource. Education and outreach for this project includes classroom workshops and online training.

K-12 Outreach

CAC operates and maintains SAGE, the Science and Arts Gateway for Education. Developed by CAC, this award winning gateway provides K-12 educators and students with links to lesson planning and learning resources in science, mathematics, and the arts.

Tours

Cornell CAC visitors may request a tour of the machine room or visualization laboratory that supports our supercomputers.

Publications & Case Studies

CAC maintains a repository of selected research publications generated by CAC staff and its users. Case studies are also available. CAC is also actively engaged in the arXiv project, a Cornell University and NSF-funded archive of over 500,000 e-prints in physics, mathematics, computers science, quantitative biology, and quantitative finance and statistics.

Supporting Outreach by other Cornell Units

CAC is adept at developing and operating Citizen Science portals and science gateways optimally designed to meet the needs of research, education, and outreach. Sample sites are the Plant Proteome Database and Project BudBreak.

Industry Outreach

Business and industry engage with CAC through the Center’s Corporate Program. Over 75 companies have participated in the program.
